Join the Tax Client Service team to be the key contact for client tax enquiries, partnering with Global Tax Operations to deliver timely resolutions, strengthen client relationships, and drive process improvements. As an Analyst within the Tax Client Service team, you will support multiple clients in relation to their Tax services. Your role involves close collaboration with both the Tax Client Service team and the Global Tax Operations team. You will serve as the primary contact for tax inquiries, ensuring proactive resolution within established standards.

Your responsibilities also include managing client relationships, contributing to service reviews, and analyzing root causes of recurring issues to enhance service. You will provide guidance on various tax documentation and regulatory reporting, while working closely with the Sub Custodian network and the internal Network Management Group. You will continually review operational tax processes to identify enhancement areas, identifying and escalating tax risks, and assisting in client tax account reviews and ad-hoc projects across the wider Tax Operations team.

Job Responsibilities
  • Serve as the point of contact for tax enquiries to support our client's tax servicing needs.
  • Take proactive responsibility for the resolution of client enquiries within the published standards.
  • Manage client relationships proactively.
  • Execute forward thinking to maintain response quality and completeness to prevent case reopening.
  • Contribute to the tax component of service reviews and other meetings with the client.
  • Analyze root causes of recurring issues through regular review of metrics, and assist in developing programs for service enhancements arising from these figures.
  • Provide support and guidance on outstanding/expiring tax documentation, relief at source, retrospective reclaims, capital gains tax, financial transaction tax, and tax regulatory reporting.
  • Ensure close collaboration with the Sub Custodian network and the internal Network Management Group.
  • Continually review operational tax processes to identify areas for enhancement.
  • Identify and elevate tax risks and participate in resolution.
  • Assist in client tax account reviews and ad-hoc projects across the wider Tax Operations team.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Demonstrated in-depth operational tax experience within financial services, specifically in global custody or investment banking.
  • Successful internal and external communication and problem-solving experience.
  • Risk awareness and operational control experience within financial services.
  • Process improvement experience, clearly articulating ideas, concepts, and procedural changes to clients.
  • Problem-solving skills and experiences.
  • Strong client focus.
  • Proven experience in an arena where accuracy is critical within strict deadlines.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Association of Taxation Technicians qualified.
  • Investment Operations Certificate or other industry related benchmark qualification.
