- Conduct audits, inspections and risk assessments (e.g. PUWER, COSHH, manual handling), identifying improvements and ensuring actions are completed.
- Lead on incident, accident and near miss investigations, ensuring learnings are captured and shared.
- Analyse trends and KPIs, providing insight and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Deliver or coordinate EHS training, including inductions and behavioural safety initiatives.
- Engage with stakeholders across the business to influence and embed best practice.
- Proactively participate in shop floor activities (e.g. GEMBAs) to observe, coach and support teams.
- Support environmental initiatives and ensure targets are achieved across the site.
- Collaborate with external bodies including auditors and regulatory organisations.
- Play an active role in continuous improvement and behavioural based safety programmes.
Your Experience

- Experience conducting risk assessments and leading incident investigations.
- Strong understanding of ISO standards (45001, 14001, 50001).
- Comfortable working within a hands on, shop floor environment.
- Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.

- Proactive and solutions focused mindset, with a continuous improvement approach.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to prioritise workload and deliver within tight timeframes.
- High attention to detail and commitment to compliance and best practice.
- Team oriented, with a genuine passion for health, safety and wellbeing.
- Confident in coaching, mentoring and challenging behaviours where needed.
