We have an opportunity for a Supported Living Officer to join our specialist housing team based at Heenan Court, Worcester, with occasional travel to nearby schemes and Platform Housing offices when required. You will work alongside your colleagues in the Supported Living team to provide a comprehensive tenancy management service to residents at the Heenan Court property, as well as other facilities in Worcester when required. This is a role where you can look forward to full support and guidance from your colleagues to ensure a first-class service is provided.
The Supported Living Officer will maintain regular contact with customers, carry out visits and complete administration for a variety of tenancy types. You will ensure temporary accommodation tenancies are sustainable to enable customers to move on effectively to more permanent housing. This is a part-time role, working 28 hours per week, four days per week between Monday and Friday.
What could you be doing?
- Providing a housing and tenancy management service to maximise tenancy sustainment.
- Being a regular and flexible customer contact for the residents, providing practical and preventative support and advice.
- Responding to reports of Anti-Social Behaviour in line with policies and procedures and logging cases using the in-house database system.
- Providing effective building management, including property inspections, risk assessments, H&S monitoring and compliance checks.
- Responding, investigating and taking timely action to reported breaches of tenancy/leasehold agreements.
What are some things that we need from you?
- Experience within the Housing sector or in Supported Living would be preferred.
- Ideally have experience with people who have experienced homelessness or other vulnerable customers.
- Customer focused and may have experience of working with customers to solve complex issues.
- Great interpersonal skills and used to communicating with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Keen to deliver high standards with an ability to look to improve services.
- Confidence using digital devices, ICT software and systems.
- An Enhanced DBS check is also required for this role.
- Full UK driving licence and based within the Worcestershire area.
