An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Restructuring and Insolvency Solicitor to join our Thames Valley office in Reading. The team acts for insolvency practitioners, lenders, companies, directors and creditors, undertaking a mixture of restructuring, non-contentious and contentious assignments, focused on businesses surviving and maximising realisations for creditors.
Role of a Restructuring and Insolvency Solicitor
- Advise on both contentious and non-contentious matters in restructuring and insolvency, including corporate and personal insolvency law.
- Promote and drive high standards of service and accuracy across the department.
- Ensure adherence to Firm and Regulator standards.
- Maintain respect of clients and colleagues by being fair, consistent and acting as a role model.
- Directly bill and/or control billing in line with agreed targets.
- Act as an ambassador for the Firm at all levels internally and externally.
- Sustain long term, commercially valuable relationships.
- Use technical expertise to actively promote the Firm, e.g. through public speaking and publishing articles.
- Be recognised as a trusted advisor both internally and externally.
- Overcome technical difficulties and problem solve effectively and creatively where appropriate.
About You
- 0–3 PQE Solicitor with experience or transferable skills in restructuring and insolvency.
- Collaborative, able to manage client relationships.
- Excellent technical ability and drafting skills.
