We are a growth‑focused fitness business building high-performing boutique studios centred on results, community, and exceptional member experience. We are now looking for a high-performance, commercially driven Studio Manager to lead one of our flagship studios. This is not a standard management role. You will take full ownership of studio performance - driving revenue, building a loyal member base, and leading a high-performing team - treating the studio as your own business. This role is ideal for someone who combines fitness expertise with proven sales ability, and thrives in an environment built on accountability, performance, and growth.

The Opportunity

  • You will be responsible for the overall success of the studio across:
    • Revenue growth
    • Membership sales
    • Team performance
    • Member experience

Working closely with ownership and the wider Makai Group, you will execute a proven growth model focused on capacity, conversion, and retention. If you are ambitious, commercially minded, and want to build something meaningful, this is a rare opportunity with real responsibility and upside.

What You’ll Be Doing

This is a hands‑on, performance‑driven role. You will:

  • Drive membership sales and studio revenue from day one
  • Own the full sales process (leads trials members)
  • Consistently hit and exceed targets and KPIs
  • Lead from the front in delivering exceptional member experience
  • Build strong relationships and create a thriving community
  • Recruit, manage, and develop a high-performing team
  • Oversee daily operations, standards, and performance metrics; work closely with the Sales Manager to maximise conversion and retention
  • Execute local marketing, partnerships, and community activations

What We’re Looking For

We need someone who is both commercially sharp and operationally excellent.

  • Required
    • Reformer Pilates qualification
    • Proven track record in sales and hitting targets
    • Experience driving revenue and growing a business or studio
    • Strong leadership and team management experience
    • High level of organisation and accountability
    • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills

The Ideal Candidate

  • Takes full ownership - no excuses, no waiting to be told
  • Commercially driven and motivated by results
  • Comfortable being accountable for revenue and performance
  • High energy, positive, and leads from the front
  • Strong presence with both team and members
  • Thrives in a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment
  • Ambitious and wants to grow within a high‑performance business

What Success Looks Like

  • Consistent month‑on‑month membership growth
  • High trial‑to‑member conversion rates
  • A full, high‑energy studio environment
  • A motivated, accountable team
  • Exceptional member experience delivered consistently

Why Join Makai Group

We are building a portfolio of boutique fitness studios focused on:

  • Filling studios
  • Driving recurring revenue
  • Building strong communities

This is your chance to be part of a business that prioritises performance, growth, and long‑term success—not just running classes. If you’re ready to take ownership, drive results, and build something meaningful, we want to hear from you.
