This is a 10 month fixed term or secondment role starting 30 April 2023, ending 31 March 2027. The position is part time (30 hours per week) and offers flexible working arrangements. Salary is £57,528 - £64,750 per annum, pro rata to full time, paid yearly. The role is posted under reference 383 ACC A and will close on 1 June 2026.

Job Overview

The Community Mental Health Framework outlines the vision for a place based, person centred model of community mental health. This role leads the transformation programme in Derbyshire, providing strategic oversight, reporting and integration of services across Primary Care and Secondary Mental Health Services.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic oversight of Living Well and the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS), leading the transformation programme team and embedding progress.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to develop care pathways across the Trust and Primary Care, implementing new ways of working.
  • Work across the interface between Primary Care and Secondary Mental Health Services to deliver an integrated model of community mental health care, building strong relationships with PCNs, Living Well teams and the wider Integrated Care System.
  • Demonstrate and nurture culture change within services, ensuring they are person centred, needs led, co produced, community inclusive and place based.
  • Keep up to date with the Community Mental Health Framework for Adults and Older Adults and the evolution of transformation across Derbyshire.

Person Specification

Attainment / Qualifications

  • Degree level education or equivalent senior specialist experience; extensive specialist knowledge, post graduate diploma or equivalent, plus master's level expertise.
  • Evidence of postgraduate qualification and continuing professional development.

Skills

  • Ability to handle complex, sensitive or contentious information, negotiate with senior stakeholders, and present to large, influential groups.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and decision making skills, capable of working within tight timeframes.
  • Strategic thinking, planning across short, medium and long term horizons, with the flexibility to adjust plans and resources.
  • Experience managing and motivating a team, reviewing performance and directing activities of others.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, intermediate keyboard skills.
  • Experience of Prince 2 and Managing Successful Projects.

Knowledge / Experience

  • In-depth understanding of healthcare policy, departmental and NHS England relationships, and the implications for engagement.
  • Experience applying national policy, researching best practice and advising on its implementation.
  • Previous responsibility for budgeting, budget setting and understanding of financial processes.
