Production Planner
As a Production Planner, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with innovative people around the world, making an impact by:
- Creating Production and Purchasing Schedules for area of responsibility to meet Service targets.
- Utilizing Supply Chain tools and processes to make data‑driven decisions to improve Service, Cost, and Inventory.
- Identifying and leading cross‑functional projects across the business to effectively drive improvements in Service, Cost, and Inventory.
- Providing a high degree of analysis to support decision making.
- Publishing and presenting relevant metrics and results (e. g., Aged Backlog, OTIF, NWI).
- Analyzing Capacity to determine alignment with Requirements.
- Working closely with the Business to understand Customers and Forecasts.
- Working closely with Operations to ensure alignment to business requirements by setting and maintaining target Inventory and Lead Times.
- Actively managing working and non‑working inventories in assigned businesses to maintain compliance and achieve targets.
- Your Skills and Expertise
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.
- Three (3) years of logistics, planning, manufacturing, or supply chain experience in a private, public, government or military environment.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed
- Master's degree or higher in Supply Chain or Operations Management from an accredited institution.
- Five (5) years combined experience in supply chain, planning, logistics, and/or manufacturing in a private, public, government or military environment.
- ASCM (APICS) Certification.
- Experience with SAP.
- Advanced Microsoft Suite (especially Excel) experience.
- Work Location
- On‑site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Chelmsford, Massachusetts, United States.
- Travel
May include up to 5% domestic/international.
