The Stores Manager holds responsibility for the compliant purchasing, handling, storage, and control of all parts and materials in accordance with regulatory requirements and approved internal procedures for the organisation. The role ensures that all items are sourced from approved suppliers, fully traceable, correctly segregated, and maintained in appropriate environmental conditions to support safe and regulatory compliant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the acceptance, storage, identification, segregation, and issuance of all aeronautical parts and materials.
- Conduct and oversee Goods Inwards inspections in line with company and regulatory standards.
- Ensure all storekeeping processes are compliant with regulatory requirements and company/internal procedures.
- Develop, maintain, and update stores related procedures.
- Implement procedural changes and ensure continuous alignment with regulatory and organisational updates.
- Maintain complete traceability of all parts and materials.
- Continuously evaluate suppliers for compliance, reliability, and approval status.
- Oversee Bonded and Quarantine Stores, ensuring accurate documentation, certification, and segregation.
- Maintain and control the calibrated tooling register.
- Coordinate tooling recalibration with Maintenance Managers to minimise operational impact.
- Ensure all storage environments are clean, dry, dust free, temperature controlled, and appropriately segregated.
- Maintain designated storage areas including Bonded, Quarantine, Fluids, Greases, Lubricants, and Goods In/Out.
- Establish and administer a life expiry management system for all materials with shelf life or serviceability limits.
- Remove expired items from stock and process them out of the system promptly.
- Lead the timely closure of internal and external audit findings related to Safety, Health, and Compliance Monitoring.
- Maintain records and evidence required for regulatory inspections.
