We are looking to recruit a Patient Services Receptionist / Administrator to join our Patient Services Support Team. We are seeking an organised, enthusiastic individual who enjoys working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. You will be one of the first points of contact to patients attending the practice, contacting us via telephone, and via online consultation systems.
Main duties of the job
- Providing a variety of reception and administrative patient facing functions, including telephone answering, dealing with patient medical record management, processing prescriptions, scanning, document management, and responding to patient enquiries.
- Telephone handling with patients and other healthcare professionals.
- Responding to patient enquiries and signposting patients to appropriate services.
- Appointment management.
- Processing prescription requests.
- Patient recall management.
- New patient registrations.
- Clinical service administration.
- Clinical record management.
- Scanning, filing and document management.
- Actioning tasks and correspondence from the clinicians.
- Opening and/or closing up of Practice premises.

Marple Cottage Surgery & Guywood Practice is a busy GP Practice in Stockport with c.11,400 patients and we are committed to providing excellent care to our patients across our two practice sites in Marple and Romiley, Stockport.
Job responsibilities
Applicants should live within easy travelling distance of Marple and Romiley and be able to work flexibly across both practice sites at Marple Cottage Surgery and Guywood Practice, Romiley.
Experienced candidates who have worked in General Practice, and used EMIS clinical system, is desirable, however full training will be provided.

- Experience working in General Practice or a similar environment.
- Experience of using Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Word and Excel.
