Lead compliance, safety, and design coordination across complex projects. A well established architectural practice is looking to appoint a Principal Designer (Building Regulations & CDM) to join their team. This is a key role within the practice, supporting the delivery of compliant, safe, and well coordinated design information across all project stages.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in architecture, building control, project management, or health and safety who enjoys working across design teams and influencing project outcomes from inception to completion.

Requirements
- Experience in architecture, building control, project management, or construction health & safety
- Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and the Building Safety Act 2022
- Understanding of HRBs and Gateway processes
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams
- Strong attention to detail and compliance focused mindset
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to influence design outcomes and manage risk
Desirable
- Professional membership (RIBA, CIAT, RICS, CIOB, CABE or similar)
- Experience in Principal Designer or CDM advisory roles
- Familiarity with BIM workflows and digital coordination tools
- Site inspection or construction stage experience
