Streamline Recruitment are currently working with a well-established logistics client who are looking to add a Night Forklift Truck Driver to their warehouse team. This is a key role supporting the smooth and accurate flow of goods through the operation during the night shift. You'll be responsible for supporting the full warehouse process, ensuring goods are handled safely, stored correctly, and prepared for dispatch in line with operational requirements. Your contribution will be essential in keeping night operations running efficiently and meeting service expectations. This is a hands-on role, combining forklift duties with general warehouse operative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Receiving and booking in inbound goods using the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Checking deliveries against paperwork and reporting any discrepancies
- Safely loading and unloading vehicles using FLT equipment
- Moving, storing, and organising stock within the warehouse environment
- Operating forklifts to support put-away, replenishment, and dispatch activities
- Supporting accurate picking and packing of customer orders ready for dispatch
- Preparing pallets and goods for despatch, ensuring correct labelling and documentation
- Carrying out regular stock checks and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy
- Updating systems and paperwork to ensure records are kept accurate and up to date
- Supporting housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Working in line with all health and safety procedures and site standards at all times
- Reporting damaged stock, equipment faults, or safety concerns promptly
- Supporting wider warehouse tasks as required to ensure smooth shift operations
