Hourly Rate: Site dependent, between £12.71- £15.00 per hour

Main Responsibilities

  • As a Relief Security Officer, you will provide a visible deterrent, respond to incidents, complete incident reports, and collaborate with local authorities.
  • Patrolling the shop floor and deterring criminal activity.
  • Assessing and identifying vulnerabilities, and working proactively to minimise risk.
  • Liaising with management and local authorities when applicable.
  • Managing vulnerable persons with empathy to avoid causing distress.
  • Completing colleague and contractor searches when required, in line with customer company policy.
  • Digitally reporting incidents and using tablets or phones for daily activity planning.
  • Producing detailed and legible incident reports to assist the client and local authorities.

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • You must hold a valid SIA licence to apply for this role.
  • Previous experience in a retail security role is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
  • You must be able to provide a full five-year checkable work or education history.
  • Applicants must bring right to work documents and a recent proof of address to the interview.
