Primary School Teacher (Full Time) - ASAP Start - Southall
Working Hours: 08:30 am - 04:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
About the Role
The successful candidate will take full responsibility for planning, delivering, and assessing lessons for a class with a high level of additional needs. You will be supported by a strong staffing structure, with one teacher and three Teaching Assistants in each class. This role requires a committed professional who is confident working with children with high need, ASD, and is passionate about inclusive education.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs.
- Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress.
- Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and support staff.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment.
- Attend weekly CPD sessions (Tuesdays after school).
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience within EYFS.
- Proven experience working with children with high levels of need.
- Experience in one or more of the following settings:
- Special provisions
- Special schools
- Mainstream settings supporting children with additional needs
- Strong understanding of:
- ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder)
- Non verbal communication strategies
- Sensory needs
- PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System)
- Must hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
