Location: THE PIG in the South Downs, Madehurst, BN18 0NL

Salary: £13.01 per hour (OTE £15.71 per hour, including tronc).

As part of our food and beverage team, our Sommeliers play an important role within our restaurant and bar service. We offer an extensive wine list to our guests, from wines across the world, local British produce to our very own PIG offering! We love wine so much, our latest addition to our group, THE PIG in the South Down has its very own vineyard!

Responsibilities:

  • Developing your knowledge of wines whilst working on the floor during our vibrant restaurant service.
  • Interacting with guests, pairing wines from our traditional underground cellar and providing recommendations to ensure a memorable dining experience.
  • Building your knowledge of local and international brands and starting to build relationships with existing and new suppliers through in-role training.
  • Opportunity to grow your qualifications in wine and spirits by enrolling in various courses.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a similar role is preferred, plus WSET or equivalent qualifications.
