We are dedicated to providing impartial job, training, and study related advice to help students make informed decisions about their futures. As a Careers Adviser, you will support students through the UCAS process and all related aspects, including applications and student finance. Your role will be pivotal in helping students reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide student information, advice, and guidance (IAG) services.
- Conduct group workshops, drop in sessions, and one to one interviews.
- Assist students in selecting realistic study pathways aligned with their long term goals.
- Support students with career advice, including apprenticeships and job vacancies.
- Oversee the UCAS process and provide guidance throughout.
- Manage the jobs board and disseminate information on opportunities.
- Implement comprehensive career and employability activities in collaboration with departments.
- Be available on results days to provide support as needed.
- Maintain and update relevant career resources.
Qualifications
- Experience in providing career guidance and support.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with students and staff.
Education Requirements
- Relevant degree or qualification in education, guidance, or related field.
- Teaching qualification is preferred.
Experience Requirements
- Experience in a similar role within the education sector.
- Familiarity with the UCAS process and student finance.
- Proven ability to engage and motivate students.
