In this role, you will be part of a dedicated team working across the Model Shop and Wind Tunnel environments to manufacture, assemble, and test high‑quality components for aerodynamic development and wind tunnel testing. Key Responsibilities- Manufacture wind tunnel model parts and assemblies to the highest standards while meeting demanding project deadlines
- Support the Model Shop team in managing workloads and achieving departmental targets
- Build and maintain complex mechanical assemblies for wind tunnel models
- Identify technical issues and assist in troubleshooting and problem‑solving activities
- Collaborate with Model Design Engineers to improve the efficiency, functionality, and quality of model changes and components
- Support and maintain Health & Safety standards within the working environment
- Travel regularly as required to support team activities and testing operations
- Proven experience in wind tunnel model preparation and wind tunnel testing
- Background in model‑making within a high‑performance motorsport environment
- Good understanding of mechanical installations and assemblies
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality standards
- A positive approach and commitment to contributing to an open, collaborative, and inclusive team culture
