Pertemps are working on behalf of their client based in Shrewsbury looking for a full-time permanent sales account manager to join their successful sales team. You will play a key role in driving revenue growth and expanding our market presence. You'll build meaningful relationships with decision-makers, gain a deep understanding of their challenges, and deliver tailored solutions that support their goals. Your contribution will be instrumental in growing our client base, strengthening our brand, and unlocking new business opportunities.

You will be:

  • Identifying, researching, and developing new business opportunities across key industries.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with decision-makers and key accounts.
  • Identifying and maximising sales opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Leading consultative sales conversations to uncover client needs and present tailored solutions.
  • Managing the full sales cycle - from prospecting and pitching through to negotiation and closing.
  • Maintaining accurate CRM records to track activity, pipeline progress, and performance.
  • Driving revenue growth through effective upselling and cross-selling strategies.
  • Being efficient and organised in managing and completing administrative duties in line with the requirements of the role.
  • Raising sales orders and purchase orders accurately.
  • Ensuring all client records are kept fully up to date.
  • Managing incoming and outgoing emails, responding and actioning them in a timely and professional manner.
  • Responding to day-to-day customer enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Liaising with suppliers regarding orders placed, deliveries, and any related queries.
  • Booking installations onto the system, ensuring all relevant products are available, correctly allocated, and delivered on time.
  • Supporting day-to-day sales office functions, contributing to the smooth running of the department.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven success in B2B sales and account management.
  • Strong consultative selling approach, with the ability to translate client needs into effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Experience using CRM systems to manage pipelines and track activity.
  • A proactive, self-motivated mindset with the resilience to succeed in a target-driven environment.
  • Strong team collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally to deliver client success.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ideally, experience within a manufacturing environment (not essential).
  • Willingness to attend occasional face-to-face client visits when required.

Hours: 9-5.30 Monday - Thursday, 9-5 Friday

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum
