Organised and proactive Transport Planner to join a busy operations team. This role involves coordinating daily transport operations, ensuring deliveries and collections are completed efficiently, on time, and in line with both customer and company expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and route vehicles efficiently to maximise productivity
- Monitor drivers and vehicle movements throughout the day
- Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and warehouse staff
- Manage and resolve transport-related issues and delays
- Ensure compliance with transport regulations and company procedures
- Maintain accurate transport records and documentation
- Monitor vehicle availability and schedule maintenance where required
- Ensure PODs and delivery documentation are completed correctly
Requirements
- Previous experience in a transport planning or logistics role preferred
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good geographical knowledge
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Competent using transport systems, including tracking systems, POD systems, and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible approach to working hours when required
Working Hours
Monday to Friday with standard hours of 08:30 - 16:30, with flexibility available where required, including: 08:00 - 16:00, 09:00 - 17:00
Holiday Entitlement
20 days annual leave plus bank holidays
