We are seeking a proactive and detail oriented Facilities Officer (Fire Safety) to join our Housing Fire Safety Team. This is a key role focused on ensuring that Sheffield City Council consistently meets all fire safety legislation, regulatory requirements and internal standards across its housing portfolio.
About the Role
As a Facilities Officer, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the safety of our residents by quality assuring all fire safety arrangements and activities within the Housing service.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out site visits and inspections across housing properties to assess fire safety compliance
- Gathering and reviewing evidence relating to fire safety measures and documentation
- Identifying risks, gaps and areas for improvement
- Producing clear, accurate and professional reports on findings and recommendations
- Working collaboratively with teams and stakeholders to ensure compliance issues are addressed promptly
- Supporting the organisation in maintaining a strong culture of safety, assurance and continuous improvement
