Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking Production Operatives to work in their facility in Shawbury.

Overview

  • £12.50 per hour
  • Hours could be either Days or Afternoons depending on the line you're working on, but the company will be moving to 4 on 4 off Days & Nights in the near future
  • Temporary to Permanent opportunities
  • Free parking
  • Factory tours prior to starting at the company, giving you the opportunity to see if the role is for you

  • Packing of products on a busy production line
  • Hands-on role within a busy production area
  • Labelling of products
  • Quality checking
  • Operating and minding machinery within the production area

  • Production / Packing / Machine Operating background within a food environment - ESSENTIAL
  • Must be IT literate
  • Own transport is ESSENTIAL due to the location

Overview

  • £12.21 per hour (pay review after 3 months)
  • Monday to Friday 07:30 - 16:00
  • Temporary to Permanent position
  • On-site walk around / induction to understand the roles and environment
  • Growth within multiple sections / areas of the business

Responsibilities

  • Packing
  • Cutting blocks of cheese to specified sizes
  • Palletising
  • Unboxing products
  • Heavy lifting up to 20kg
  • Quality checking
  • Deal with rejects from production lines
  • Following food and hygiene regulations on site
  • Working with a team of around 6-8 people
  • Supervise the correct running of various machines ensuring quality finished product
  • Correctly daily/weekly cleaning documents

Requirements

  • Previous experience within the food manufacturing industry - DESIRABLE
  • Must have picking/packing/palletising experience - DESIRABLE
  • Be able to complete/read labels and paperwork when required - ESSENTIAL
