The Exec Chef of a successful group of pubs is seeking a talented Senior Sous Chef to join the group at one of its flagship pubs in Preston. The pub is very busy with a high turnover, and the menus are semi branded. They require a Senior Sous Chef that can take ownership of the food and maintain the standards that are expected by the locals and visitors that return regularly due to the pub's good reputation in the area.

The Senior Sous Chef will need to work closely with the head chef and motivated team of chefs to ensure service times run smoothly and the kitchen paperwork is all up to date. The menus consist of favourite pub dishes using a mixture of fresh and brought in produce. As Senior Sous Chef, you will have a good degree of autonomy on the menus, especially for the occasional private dining and events that are also catered for, and are able to use both local and national suppliers.

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate for this role will have recently been working at Sous Chef level and have experience of fresh food volume pubs or restaurants.
  • A Chef that is a good leader, a forward thinker, able to work to deadlines and remain calm under pressure is essential for this role.
