The Opportunity
You’ll provide steady commercial leadership across live projects and tenders, creating an environment where your team performs at its best and projects are delivered with clarity, confidence and control. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support a commercial team in a positive, collaborative and high performing environment
- Provide trusted commercial leadership across live projects and pre-construction
- Oversee CVRs, forecasts, valuations and monthly reporting, ensuring accuracy and clarity
- Lead claims, variations, final accounts and commercial negotiations
- Support audits, subcontract management and dispute resolution
- Work closely with operational leaders to ensure joined up project delivery
- Contribute commercial expertise during tendering to shape strong, competitive bids
- Improve commercial processes, controls and ways of working
- Support recruitment, onboarding and succession planning within the team
About You
- Proven experience in Senior Commercial Management within infrastructure or a specialist contractor
- Relevant qualification (HND / Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience)
- Strong leadership style with a genuine focus on developing people
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence at senior level
- Excellent numerical, analytical and reporting skills
- Deep understanding of construction processes, contracts and commercial best practice
- Comfortable managing pressure, risk and complex commercial discussions
- Proficient with MS Office and commercial reporting tools
