We're seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to guide and support our Commercial team, helping us deliver major projects with confidence, clarity and collaboration.
What You'll Be Doing
- Creating a supportive, positive environment where your team feels encouraged, valued and motivated.
- Holding regular, meaningful check ins that help people grow their commercial skills and confidence.
- Finding smarter, more collaborative ways of working that strengthen margins and make life easier for everyone involved.
- Offering steady, trusted commercial advice during tendering to help shape strong, competitive bids.
- Managing monthly reporting (CVRs, forecasts, valuations) ensuring the information is accurate, clear and genuinely helpful.
- Supporting audits, subcontract management and any disputes with fairness, clarity and calmness.
- Leading claims, variations and final account work with confidence and professionalism.
- Working closely with Operational teams to ensure project delivery feels aligned, respectful and joined up.
- Helping with recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning so the team stays well supported and resourced.
What You'll Need
- A warm, people centred leadership style with the ability to build genuine, trusting relationships.
- Relevant qualifications (HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience).
- Around 5+ years' experience in Commercial Management within construction or a specialist discipline.
- Strong communication skills, clear, confident and empathetic.
- High numeracy, sound analysis and a keen eye for detail.
- A solid understanding of construction processes, industry regulations and commercial best practice.
- The ability to remain composed under pressure, approach challenges thoughtfully and handle conflict professionally.
- Confidence using MS Office to produce clear, accurate reports.
- A genuine passion for developing others, encouraging teamwork and creating an open, respectful culture.
