Oversee merchandise strategies across UMUK’s label roster, delivering full‑service support for UK label music brands. Work with cross‑functional teams in sales, tour, licensing, direct‑to‑consumer and operations to develop creative plans and ensure flawless global execution.
Responsibilities
- Define vision, mission, goals and strategy for each brand.
- Develop a global brand building and marketing plan that aligns with client/brand vision.
- Work closely with artists and their management to develop merchandising strategies that maximise revenue.
- Understand brand P&L and use strategy to drive revenue opportunities.
- Collaborate with label, tour, sales and direct‑to‑consumer teams to create integrated product/marketing campaigns around artists.
- Develop and execute non‑traditional marketing campaigns for artist merchandise.
- Monitor and analyse business metrics to optimise product lines and maximize commercial opportunity.
- Work with tour, sales, licensing, D2C and touring departments to ensure artist strategy is executed.
- Develop artist brand standards and usage guidelines.
- Oversee the development of existing and potential client presentation materials.
- Present results (financial and creative) to label commercial leads and wider team.
- Oversee management of product portfolio for each brand: product development, creative identity, style guides and internal approvals.
- Secure all necessary approvals from artists.
- Develop creative materials for artist roster, test new product concepts and maintain consistency with strategy, timelines, budgets and legal compliance.
Qualifications & Skills
- Demonstrated ability to drive brand growth and equity with smart, creative marketing plans.
- Experience working cross‑functionally to move brand and product initiatives from concept to execution.
- Track record in brand management, consumer engagement planning, innovative thinking and program development.
- Strategic approach to brand building programs with overall leadership and execution excellence.
- Awareness of current fashion trends and styles; interest in pop, classic rock and urban music.
- Knowledge of delivering memorable brand experiences, social media, advertising, media planning and brand tracking tools.
- Experience in multicultural marketing and brand planning support.
- Experience managing innovation and new product development.
- Coaching experience and ability to be coached.
- Ownership and tracking of P&L and budget items with emphasis on ROI.
- Independent, self‑starter in an unstructured environment with strong multitasking abilities.
- Excellent verbal, written, meeting and presentation communication skills.
- Team player with a collaborative style and good listening skills.
- Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
