Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs? We are working with a welcoming and supportive SEN school that is looking to appoint dedicated Learning Support Assistants for a September start. The school supports pupils with communication and interaction difficulties, Autism, medical syndromes, and physical and sensory needs. The school operates across two sites, with Pre-16 students based at the main site in Upminster and Post-16 students attending the specialist provision in Rainham. All students have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), ensuring support is tailored to their individual needs.
Responsibilities
- As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and therapists to help students access learning, develop independence, and achieve positive outcomes both academically and personally.
Ideal Candidate
- Have experience supporting children or young people with SEND
- Be patient, caring, and adaptable
- Have a genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs
- Be confident building positive relationships with students and staff
