About the role

Are you a qualified teacher experienced with SEN and autism, or an experienced SEN teaching assistant looking for a step-up? There is a full-time and a part-time role available. You will be based in Barnet.

You’ll teach functional skills in English and Maths, embedding employability and life skills, and have dedicated time for planning and admin work each week while working 3 days a week from 9-5. For full-time, it is 3 days a week teaching, 2 days a week for planning & admin.

The programme blends education and work experience, preparing learners for employment. You will deliver teaching and have allocated time for admin & lesson prep or liaising with wider stakeholders such as coordinating with employers, family, or job-coaches who support the young people on their placements.

You must have either a Level 3 (PTLLS) or a Level 5 (DTLLS, PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent) teaching qualification.

Salary:

  • For a Level 3 teaching qualification: £17,878 (£29,798 full-time equivalent).
  • For Level 5: £19,203 (£32,005 full-time equivalent).

If successful, you will be put through your Level 3 and Level 5 if you do not already have them.
