The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a clean and professional environment, and maintaining a high level of security. You will conduct ID checks, respond to emergencies, and provide information to staff and visitors as necessary. The role requires a robust background in the security sector, proficiency in IT systems, excellent multitasking abilities, and a professional and polished demeanour with strong communication skills.
Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour.
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off nights only 19:00 - 07:00. Average 42 hours per week.
Location: London, WC1H 9LT, near Russell Square/Euston.
Main Duties:
- Act as a point of contact and information centre for staff and visitors.
- Provide clear, concise information in person, over the phone and by email.
- Report any issues to the supervisor or duty manager.
- Respond to emergencies and handle conflicts appropriately.
- Write up incidents to management standards.
- Carry out ID checks and maintain vigilance of Health and Safety risks.
- Work on own initiative and maintain a professional manner at all times.
- Ensure reception area, foyer, staff area and board room remain clean by supervising cleaning staff.
Requirements:
- Valid SIA licence.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Security Officer and within Corporate Security.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Professional attitude and appearance.
- Ability to deliver succinct and clear verbal and written reports.
- Resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Surveillance skills and detail orientation.
- 5‑year checkable work history.
- IT literate – ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment.
