Our client is seeking an experienced Section Manager to support the delivery of a major substation construction project in Bury St Edmunds within the power and utilities sector. You will take ownership of complex civils and infrastructure packages, operating within a live, high-voltage environment. This is a critical role within the engineering space, focused on safe delivery, coordination, and technical execution.

What you will need:

  • Proven experience delivering civils works on substation, utilities, or major infrastructure projects (essential)
  • Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) certification (essential)
  • Strong knowledge of CDM regulations, permit-to-work systems, and construction risk management
  • SMSTS (or equivalent) and demonstrable experience in safety-critical/live environments
  • Earthworks Level 3 (or equivalent experience within heavy civils packages)
