Community Action IW are looking for a volunteer at LINK, Sandown to help with the upkeep of the grounds. It would only need to be a few hours weekly/fortnightly.
Tasks likely to include:
- General maintenance of the building and outdoor areas
- Basic DIY tasks (e.g. putting up shelves, hooks, noticeboards, pictures, fixtures)
- Cleaning and maintaining exterior building/steps
- Painting and touch-ups where needed (inside and outside)
- Clearing gutters or checking drainage (if safe to do so)
- Supporting with seasonal tasks (e.g. clearing leaves, preparing outdoor areas)
- Supporting with basic health & safety upkeep (e.g. ensuring walkways are clear, checking lighting)
No requirement to work directly with children and young people but they may be around from time to time.
This role requires someone who is physically fit and able to do basic DIY.
