Surrey & Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust are seeking to appoint a Specialty Doctor of middle grade level (ST3+ level or above) to join our growing IM/short stay team. The post-holders will join the well-established Department of IM for one year in the first instance with the possibility to extend if mutually agreed.
Applicants should have experience in acute and/or general internal medicine and excellent team-working skills with the ability and professional skills to work well in a multi professional team. The role is suitable for doctors with a keen interest in education, offering opportunities for simulation training, teaching and quality improvement work.
Based at East Surrey Hospital, the post-holder will be a key senior member of the GIM team, responsible for comprehensive inpatient care and acute assessment on presentation. You will work as part of a multi disciplinary team to deliver clinical and quality targets agreed nationally and locally with the clinical teams and commissioners.
