West Suffolk Rural PCN is looking for a newly qualified GP (within the last 2 years) to work alongside the team at Wickhambrook Surgery. This part‑time role is flexible, ranging from 2–4 sessions per week. Candidates must not have previously held a substantive position post‑qualification.

Wickhambrook Surgery is a rural, 3‑partner GMS GP practice located in the Suffolk countryside. It is a dispensing practice that serves approximately 5,300 patients. We pride ourselves on providing high quality care, with 90% of patients rating the practice as fairly good or very good in the 2024 national GP Patient Survey.

Key practice features include the following supports and opportunities:

  • Regular peer support meetings for complex cases.
  • Daily coffee catch‑ups with colleagues.
  • Teaching of trainees and medical students from UEA and Cambridge.
  • Collaboration with the PCN ARRS team: social prescriber, first‑contact physiotherapist, clinical pharmacist, care coordinators, and health & wellbeing coaches.
  • Monthly virtual MDT meetings with community providers, social care, mental health and voluntary organisations.
  • Strong focus on training and personal development.
