About the role: Retail Merchandiser based in Tesco Dunfermline Fire Station KY12 7BD. You will be an integral part of a field‑based retail merchandising team working on behalf of exciting household name brands. Although based in one area, you will have work opportunities across a variety of different stores.
Work hours and schedule: Confirmed working days/hours: 7 hours per week. Monday - 3 hours, flexible starts. Wednesday - 2 hours, flexible starts. Thursday - 2 hours, 09:00. Plus ad hoc work as agreed.
Responsibilities:
- Set up fixtures effectively, ensuring products and promotions are displayed attractively and shelves are well stocked.
- Ensure compliance with merchandising standards, store policies, procedures, and health and safety guidance.
- Follow and implement planograms to maintain consistency and compliance.
- Arrange and organise products on shelves and displays to maximise visibility and appeal.
- Set up promotional displays and signage to communicate prices, discounts, and special offers.
- Build and maintain relationships with in‑store colleagues, particularly department and store managers.
- Provide accurate and timely feedback to client account teams through the feedback application.
- Handle manual tasks, moving and arranging products from warehouse to shop floor.
- Accept home deliveries of point‑of‑sale or stock items when needed (additional pay applies).
- Use company tablet to download briefs, take photos, and answer task questions.
Qualifications:
- Experience or passion for merchandising, retail, and/or customer service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self‑motivated and able to own work within set timeframes, using initiative to find solutions.
- Commitment to delivering high standards and service for clients.
- Comfortable with manual handling.
- Willing to accept home deliveries of point‑of‑sale or stock items for some visits.
- Proficient using a tablet for brief downloads, photo capture, and task queries.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a car is a bonus.
