Job Overview
We are looking for a Restaurant Manager/Assistant Manager for our Indian Vegetarian restaurant.
Salary
35,000 to 45,000 (Gross Per Annum)
Responsibilities
- Recruiting, training and supervising staff
- Managing reservations and customer reviews; developing a good rapport with regular and new customers.
- The restaurant serves between 800-900 covers during the week and 1200+ covers during the weekend, so ideally experienced in a very busy restaurant and knows how to manage crowds.
- Agreeing and managing budgets
- Planning menus
- Ensuring compliance with licensing, hygiene and health and safety legislation/guidelines
- Overseeing stock levels
- Ordering supplies
- Producing staff rotas
- Handling customer enquiries and complaints
- Taking reservations
- Greeting and advising customers
- Problem solving
- Preparing and presenting staffing/sales reports
- Keeping statistical and financial records
- Assessing and improving profitability
- Setting targets and handling administration and paperwork
- Liaising with customers, employees, suppliers, licensing authorities and sales representatives
- Making improvements by promoting and marketing the business and developing the restaurant.

Skill/experience/qualifications
- Experience working in Indian Restaurants and fluent in one or more Indian languages.
- At least 3 plus years of experience working in an Indian Restaurant as a restaurant Manager.
