Main duties of the job include delivering and coordinating patient centred nursing care within an agreed framework, including assessing, planning, and reviewing care in partnership with patients and their families. The post holder will monitor patient progress, respond to changes in condition, and manage feedback or concerns effectively. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, they will prioritise and delegate duties, take charge of shifts when required, and contribute to maintaining a safe environment, while continuing their professional development in line with revalidation requirements.
You will join the team on the Female Acute Ward. In this role, you will play a key part in patient recovery, supporting the assessment and delivery of tailored treatment plans while ensuring dignity, respect, and high standards of care.

Job responsibilities include full time of 37.5 hours a week and a minimum of 6 months post registration experience within Mental Health or Learning Disabilities Care Environment, with evidence of continued professional development in the relevant field. This role is not suitable for newly qualified nurses or preceptorship nurses.

Requirements: Hold current professional registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), along with Mental Health. Candidates with this experience will bring valuable insight into managing complex and dynamic clinical environments, along with the ability to respond effectively to patients with higher acuity needs. This experience supports strong clinical decision making, resilience, and a proactive approach to delivering safe, high quality care in fast paced settings.
