Are you a dedicated and adaptable Key Stage One Teacher looking for a part-time role? A welcoming and supportive First school in Bromsgrove is seeking a confident Year 2 Teacher to work part time within their Year 2 class, starting after Easter, until July working 2 days per week. This role is ideal for an experienced Year 2 Teacher who can confidently plan, and deliver high-quality lessons and maintain a positive, engaging learning environment.

As a Year 2 Teacher, you will focus on delivering high-quality teaching, supporting pupils' progress, and ensuring continuity of learning within the classroom. This role will be working alongside another Year 2 Teacher to collaboratively provide the best level of care for this class until the end of the academic year.

As a Year 2 Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Taking full responsibility for a Year 2 class during the maternity cover.
  • Assessing, tracking, and reporting pupil progress.
  • Creating a warm, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff, support staff, and senior leaders.
  • Supporting pupils' emotional wellbeing and development alongside academic progress.

To be successful in this Year 2 Teacher role, you will need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Previous experience working as a Year 2 Teacher or within KS1.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • A flexible, reliable, and professional approach.
