Job Introduction

We are looking for a Charges Officer to support the Charges Team Leader in shaping the service. You will play a key role in delivering statutory service charges, recharges, and income recovery services for tenants and leaseholders, ensuring compliance with housing legislation and best practice.
Responsibilities
- Delivery of accurate and transparent service charges.
- Support income collection to maximise Housing Revenue Account performance.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and consultation requirements.
- Provide excellent customer service to residents.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with knowledge of housing service charges and income management with strong analytical and problem solving skills. This includes recharges, former tenant debts, and support recovery action, including legal proceedings where appropriate. You will be working with residents and stakeholders, resolving disputes and supporting positive customer outcomes.
You should hold a minimum level 2 qualification in subjects relevant to the role. Have or be working towards a level 3 qualification related to Housing Management. Have a minimum of 2 years' experience specific to the role or with transferable skills within the social housing sector with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced environment.
