The post-holder will be working with the rest of the team at Beechwood Medical Centre. The role is an afternoon role working in the administration office dealing with patients on the telephone. The hours are quite specific in order to cover the site for all of the hours we are open. If you have worked in General Practice or primary care before that would be useful but it is not essential; all of the training will be given.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out administrative duties associated with working in a busy General Practice.
- Deal with all patients and visitors to the practice in face to face and telephone environment.
- Book, change and cancel appointments for patients in line with current arrangements.
- Deal with prescription requests, patient registrations, patient signposting and carry out duties as requested by the Practice Operations Manager, Business Manager or Partners.
- Support the practice operationally, including ordering, room allocations, photocopying, post management and other general reception and admin duties.
Working hours
Monday 1.00pm - 6.30pm (5.5 hours)
Tuesday 1.00pm - 6.30pm (5.5 hours)
Thursday 1.00pm - 6.30pm (5.5 hours)
Friday 1.00pm - 6.30pm (5.5 hours)
Total weekly hours: 27.5. You must be able to work these hours, although we will have a small degree of flexibility.
