The Role

In this pivotal role, you will:

  • Take responsibility for the teaching of the Reception class children, with Literacy and Numeracy being paramount.

Key Person Responsibilities:

  • Act as a key person to a group of children, working closely with your TA and keeping families informed of progress through regular updates on Tapestry and termly parents' consultations.

Curriculum Excellence:

  • Deliver an imaginative, rigorous, and inspiring EYFS curriculum. Previous experience teaching in an Independent school is an advantage.

Pastoral Care:

  • Foster a lifelong love of learning while providing high-quality pastoral support.

Community:

  • Build strong, trusting partnerships with families and colleagues. We particularly welcome candidates with an interest in Music, Art, or Drama, or those with KS1 experience.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years' Reception /Key Stage 1 experience.
  • Qualifications: QTS or equivalent.
  • Skills: Proficient in lesson planning for Reception children and the ability to use technology to enhance the teaching provision.
  • Mindset: A "fun, can-do" attitude with a willingness to meet challenges with enthusiasm and a commitment to being an inspiration to children.
  • Communication: Excellent organisational and communication skills, with a clear understanding of the importance of Safeguarding.
