Quality Inspector Wanted - Immediate Start! Leicester £15-£18/hour (DOE) Permanent, Full-Time

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Previous experience in a quality inspection role within manufacturing or sheet metal
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience using measuring equipment such as verniers, callipers, and micrometres
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliable and organised approach to work

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of ISO quality standards
  • Welding inspection experience
  • Experience completing quality documentation and inspection reports
  • Forklift licence
  • Basic computer skills for reporting and record keeping

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Carry out first off, in process, and final inspections of sheet metal components and assemblies.
  • Inspect products to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, customer specifications, and company quality standards.
  • Use inspection equipment including verniers, callipers, micrometres, height gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
  • Identify, record, and report defects, non-conformances, or quality issues.
  • Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate quality documentation.
  • Work closely with production, fabrication, and welding teams to resolve quality concerns.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the quality and manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure all inspection equipment is calibrated and maintained correctly.

Requirements:

As a Quality Inspector, you will also be expected to maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment in line with health and safety procedures. Assist with internal audits and quality system compliance where required.
