Stenhouse Primary School is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Pupil Support Officer to take up this new post within our well-established school team. The Pupil Support Officer will support children with a range of communication, social and emotional regulation needs within our infant stages.
This role will involve collaborating with school staff, supporting families, and working with partner agencies to create safe, inclusive and nurturing educational experiences that support our children to access and progress in their learning.
The successful candidate will be experienced in supporting children with a range of additional support needs. They will be experienced working directly with families to provide feedback on learning and support for children's wellbeing. They will be flexible and adaptable to work within a busy school as part of a team and independently as directed by the school's leadership team.
The working hours will be: Monday - Thursday 8.30am - 3.15pm, Friday 8.30am - 12.15pm.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
