Salary: £30,188 - £34,452 (pro rated for part time and sessional). Hours: 27.5 per week, 39 weeks sessional.
We are looking to recruit a Pupil Support Officer with experience working alongside pupils with a range of needs, understanding how adult behaviour influences the school environment, and a track record in building relationships. Candidates should be CALM trained or have similar de-escalation training. A sense of humour, creative thinking and readiness to meet challenging situations are essential.
Responsibilities- Supporting pupils across 9 classes, including those with social & emotional, intellectual and communication needs.
- Collaborating with teaching and support staff, allied health professionals and external agencies such as NHS SLT, Spartans, CAMHS, Youth Music Initiative, Drake Music & Queen Margaret University.
- Participating in behaviour management and intervention plans.
- Maintaining records and contributing to team meetings.
- Experience working with pupils with diverse needs.
- Understanding of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 and required PVG Scheme participation.
- Valid criminal record checks as required.
