We are looking for a Procurement Product Cost Manager to work closely with the Aerospace Procurement Category teams, lead the management of the Category Cost forecast and collaborate with the Category team to identify and deliver cost reduction and cost mitigation projects. The role is cross functional at its core and will give you the opportunity to work with a wide range of internal stakeholders, gain exposure to an extensive range of business processes and develop highly transferrable skills.
Responsibilities
- Manage the cost forecast of an extensive portfolio of cost reduction and cost mitigation projects, ensuring accuracy and credibility of the in year and long term product cost forecast to support business financial forecasting and portfolio decisions.
- Lead and support the regular product cost governance with internal stakeholders, communicating status, opportunities and risks to enable proactive management.
- Work with the Category to generate, develop and execute cost reduction and cost mitigation projects.
- Champion a wide range of cost opportunities using market intelligence, data analytics and digital tools.
- Build an understanding of the Category's critical cost drivers and strategy.
- Influence stakeholders and secure their support for cost initiatives.
- Champion a cost conscious culture throughout the organization.
- Manage and task Procurement Cost leads reporting to you and support their development.
Qualifications
- Degree (BA level) and/or CIPS qualifications.
- Experience in data analysis, with the ability to form hypotheses and identify financial opportunities.
- Strong business acumen and desire to develop a deep understanding of commercial and financial principles.
- Good interpersonal and people management skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at various levels and functions.
- Ability to influence and challenge constructively.
- Capacity to work at pace, with pragmatism and tenacity.
- Transformational mindset, open to alternative approaches and different ways of working.
