Severn Trent is looking for a Process Technical Lead to set and maintain high standards in process and chemical engineering design for capital delivery projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set standards, templates, tools and processes to ensure our designs are technically and regulatory assured.
  • Drive standardisation, consistency and quality across the Process/Chemical Engineering and Functional Safety disciplines within the design function.
  • Lead hazard studies (HAZOP, HAZID, LOPAS) and embed risk management and safety principles into all aspects of design and operations.
  • Explore opportunities to deploy tactical short term research and development and adopt new techniques and technologies to benefit the capital programme.
  • Develop and mentor apprentices and engineers in their discipline throughout the design function to grow their skills, capabilities and qualifications.
  • Accountable for Functional Safety determination within the Capital Design and Delivery function.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience working in a design environment at a senior level.
  • A strong record of innovation and challenging conventional solutions.
  • A full UK driving licence is required.
