Stantec's Energy & Resources team is seeking Principal Mechanical Engineers for future opportunities. Candidates can be based in any of our UK offices, ideally reachable from the midlands or Newcastle. You will work on a wide variety of projects including conventional EfW plants, district heating, gasification projects, hydrogen generation schemes and multiple biogas production projects. You will be involved in the entire project life cycle, from optioneering through to detailed design and installation.
Responsibilities include:
- Feasibility studies, site surveys and investigations
- Collaborating with clients, partners and team members to develop designs and project-wide solutions across Stantec's Energy and Resources sector
- Taking responsibility for HSE matters seriously and fostering a culture of open scrutiny and continuous improvement
About You:
You have experience within Mechanical Engineering or a related field, ideally with the energy/power sector or a related process plant sector, and are either chartered or working towards chartered status. You have produced technical specifications and schedules for a range of technologies (Steam, piping, hydrogen, biomass, EfW plants, etc.), and have supported collaborative design outputs such as General Arrangement Drawings, 3D models and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams. You are able to communicate technical updates to clients and team members. You will be expected to create specifications and scoping documents for award of construction packages, assess vendor designs and progress, demonstrating experience in these areas.
