The Teaching School Hub at the Arthur Terry Learning Partnership is seeking an exceptional primary practitioner and skilled facilitator to join our team as Primary ITT & Early Career Programme Lead. This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious educational leader to play a central role in developing the next generation of teachers, supporting colleagues from Initial Teacher Training through to the Early Career Teacher phase. You will lead high-quality professional development, work closely with schools across the region, and help ensure that every trainee and early career teacher receives the support, challenge, and inspiration they need to thrive.
While initially offered as a 12-month fixed-term position, this role forms part of the Teaching School Hub's longer-term succession planning and offers significant potential for expanded leadership responsibilities in the future. Working across both our Primary SCITT and Early Career Teacher programmes, you will contribute to the design, delivery, quality assurance, and continuous improvement of teacher development provision.
- Initial Teacher Training (Primary SCITT)
- Support the design and delivery of an ambitious, evidence-informed Primary ITT curriculum.
- Facilitate high-quality training sessions for Associate Teachers.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with schools across the region.
- Support the recruitment, training and development of mentors and Learning Coaches.
- Monitor trainee progress through observations, reviews and assessment processes.
- Conduct placement visits and provide developmental feedback.
- Contribute to programme evaluation, compliance and continuous improvement.
- Early Career Teacher Programme
- Facilitate engaging professional development for Early Career Teachers and mentors.
- Support the recruitment, coaching and development of programme facilitators.
- Quality assure programme delivery through observation, evaluation and feedback.
- Develop strong relationships with participating schools, induction leads and mentors.
- Support schools in delivering their statutory Early Career Framework entitlements.
- Contribute strategically to the alignment of ITT and ECT provision across the region.
