We're working with a well-established, high-performing FMCG manufacturing business in Port Talbot who are looking to strengthen their engineering team with the addition of a Machine Operator. This is a hands-on production role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, where you will be responsible for operating machinery, monitoring production processes and ensuring products are manufactured to the highest quality standards.

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday only. Week 1: 6.00am - 2.00pm, Week 2: 2.00pm - 10.00pm, Week 3: 10.00pm - 6.00am.

Role Responsibilities and Qualifications:

  • Operating and monitoring high-speed production machinery within a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment
  • Ensuring production lines run efficiently while maintaining quality and output targets
  • Carrying out quality checks and inspections to ensure products meet required specifications and standards
  • Supporting machine set up, adjustments and changeovers between production runs
  • Identifying faults, defects or production issues and reporting concerns promptly to minimise downtime and waste
  • Assisting with basic machine troubleshooting and supporting maintenance teams where required
  • Maintaining accurate production records and completing all associated paperwork correctly
  • Following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensuring compliance with all health & safety procedures
  • Supporting housekeeping and cleanliness standards across the production area
  • Working collaboratively with production teams and shift colleagues to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to improve production efficiency and reduce waste

Previous experience within a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment (Preferably precision engineering/ medical/ food/ clean environment)
