We're currently recruiting for a Quality Inspector to join a precision engineering manufacturer based in Poole. This is a hands-on inspection role where accuracy, attention to detail and confidence working to engineering standards are essential. As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for carrying out detailed inspections of machined components, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings and customer specifications throughout the production process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out in process and final inspection of precision engineered components
  • Using hand held measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers and gauges
  • Inspecting parts against engineering drawings and GD&T requirements
  • Recording inspection results accurately and maintaining quality documentation
  • Supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions for non-conformances
  • Working closely with machinists, engineers and production supervisors
  • Assisting with internal and external audits when required
  • Operating and programming basic CMM equipment for dimensional verification

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a Quality Inspector or inspection based role within engineering/manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and geometric tolerancing
  • Confident using precision hand measuring tools
  • High attention to detail and methodical working approach
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
  • Strong communication skills for working across production and engineering teams
  • CMM experience is desirable
