Senior Plant Operative / Production - South Kirby, WF9

Control the movement of lorries within the yard area, ensuring they tip incoming materials in the correct product bays.

Check and complete all relevant paperwork and load lorries with the correct outgoing products.

Maintain a continuous flow of glass into the Plant via the infeed hopper, while upholding Health & Safety standards and keeping the yard tidy.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all internal transport is checked and maintained correctly.
  • Ensure plant supply of raw cullet is maintained and mixed to maximise output.
  • Check that all deliveries are checked and tipped in correct areas safely.
  • Inspect lorries taking finished product out and verify paperwork before loading.
  • Maintain a safe working environment.
  • Carry out daily inspections, maintenance and complete reports on the condition of the Loading Shovel, FLT and Sweeper.
  • Keep Loading Shovel topped up with diesel and Ad Blue.
  • Keep the infeed hopper supplied with cullet as required.
  • Liaise with drivers to identify raw material brought onto site and ensure it is tipped in an orderly and safe manner.
  • Report issues relating to the quality of incoming loads, such as contamination, to relevant staff.
  • Check and complete all paperwork relating to deliveries and dispatches.
  • Load lorries with correct quantity and type of product and visually inspect finished product prior to loading.
  • Hours

Panama shifts Monday to Sunday - 12 hour shifts with days off between each shift change from Days to Night.
