Job Details

  • Full‑time: 37.5 hours per week (including alternate weekends and bank holidays)
  • Pay Rate: £12.96 per hour

About the Role

To provide general assistance within all areas of the Play Barn and catering across the park, to exceed customer expectations and maximise sales and profit opportunities. To ensure the smooth running of all catering operations across the park and the guest experience in the Play Barn.

Responsibilities

  • Support in the induction training and development of the team
  • Support with the daily allocation of tasks to meet the needs of the guests and the business
  • Assist with daily set up of the kitchen and front of house and ensuring any issues are reported
  • Ordering products and ensuring stock levels whilst maintaining budgets; provide accurate information to help guests make informed choices about food and drink options
  • Manage allergy queries and oversee the preparation of food and drink by ensuring the team is aware of allergies and takes all necessary precautions to prevent cross‑contamination
  • Share product and operational knowledge through supportive and effective communication

Qualifications

  • Previous catering experience in food service or hospitality
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive and productive relationships at work
  • Knowledge of health & safety/food safety legislation (desirable)
  • Relevant product knowledge with regards to allergens (desirable)
  • CIEH Level 3 or willingness to complete the training
  • Requirement to undergo a DBS check
  • Flexibility to work weekends, bank holidays and adapt to business needs
