The predicted salary is between 55000 - 55200 £ per year.

Opportunity with the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), supporting Sizewell C. Sizewell C will be a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes and will play a key role in our energy future, supplying reliable, clean electricity for at least 60 years. This role will be within the Enabling and Earthwork Section.

What will you do?

  • Define process and procedure for assets management, maintenance, inspection, cost control for the CWA plant system of work, share and ensure all the stakeholders figure out and apply it.
  • For the prelim stage, define the adapted workshops and facilities for all the scope of CWA plant, mechanical, electrical, FFSP, workshops, all inspired from HPC site and lesson learned.
  • Define and profile the electrical power needs from the production power requirement, facilities, workshops, machines working with electrical supply.
  • Define and issue the specifications and requirements for the HxGN EAM system of asset and maintenance management.
  • Define and put in place the maintenance plan, servicing, repair & modifications for the assets in the IT system in cooperation with the supplier.
  • Establish relation with Production team, Methods Department and Planning team to define the forecast plant and equipment needs, schedule and plan the procurement of machines, tools, facilities.
  • Assist procurement team in the plant and equipment tender process, optimise the asset fleet.
  • Define and monitor the critical spare parts needs regarding the machines procured, taking into consideration the storage capacity and space.
  • Define and put in place the internal and external charging rate to the section users, analyse and implement the cost, ensure it's compliant with the mechanism defined.
  • Ensure all recording and properly feed in the IT system, Asset, work order, maintenance, stock movement, planning.
  • Develop or review whether required these procedures to improve the process in place.
  • Establish monthly report with KPI (efficiency, hiring/purchasing, order/delivery/needs) and insight progress for the CWA plant setting up and organisation.
  • Implement telematic system to track and trace the machine location, usage, breakdown.
  • Ensure that all the CWA plant safety system is in place and respected.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience in plant organisation or in construction project.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks within an overall project.
  • Communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
  • Organisational and planning skills.
  • IT skills, especially in MS Word & Excel, AutoCAD, SolidWorks.
  • Safety culture appetite.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Mechanical or electrical engineer.
  • Experience in similar project or construction project.
